The Rip Curl GromSearch is an International Series of events for male and female surfers aged 16 years and under.

The Australian series includes 5 events at key surfing locations around the country followed by a National final at Sydney’s famous North Narrabeen.

  • Event 2: Maroubra NSW – Sept 30 – Oct 3, 2017
  • Event 3: Trigg WA – Oct 6 – 8, 2017
  • Event 4: Yorke SA – Nov 4 – 5, 2017
  • Event 5: Sunshine Coast QLD – Dec 11 – 15, 2017
  • NATIONAL FINAL: Wollongong, NSW – Jan 15-17, 2018.

The Rip Curl GromSearch series has been a great stepping stone for the recent champions of our sport. Former International GromSearch competitors who are currently competing on the WSL Championship Tour include: Gabriel Medina, Owen Wright, Jordy Smith, Kolohe Andino, Felipe Toledo, Steph Gilmore, Sally Fitzgibbons, Tyler Wright, Malia Manuel, Laura Enever and Alana Blanchard.
