Pancakes on the Rocks

A warm stack of buttery pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, cheesy nachos, flavoursome ribs, and pizza. Inspired by the popularity of pancakes on the menus in American restaurants, Pancakes on the Rocks serves quality food, with friendly service in a welcoming atmosphere. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu is served all day! Pancakes on the Rocks is the perfect place to meet friends, celebrate milestones, or dine out with the family.

The original idea began in late in the 1950’s when some intrepid Australians road tripped across America. Those Aussies noticed the popularity of pancakes in American restaurants and wanted to bring that love of pancakes back home to Australia. The first restaurant opened in 1965 in Adelaide, then they expanded around Victoria. The original founders separated, one moved to Sydney and opened Pancakes On The Rocks. We continue to pursue our vision – creating casual dining, family restaurants that feature pancakes and have something for everyone on the menu. In 1994 additions to the menu proved very successful – pizzas, range of salads, crepes, pancakes and the famous beef and pork ribs. This new menu proved very popular for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. More restaurants followed in New South Wales and the Gold Coast.
