A delicious new arrival has landed at Soul Boardwalk on the Surfers Paradise Esplanade with the opening of Woodfired Mediterranean Grill & Café, the latest creation from seasoned local restaurateur Arthur De Snoo. Sitting directly opposite the sparkling shoreline, Woodfired brings the irresistible flavours of Greece, Italy and Morocco together in one vibrant, beachside setting.
Woodfired’s menu is a celebration of fresh ingredients, traditional techniques and bold Mediterranean character. Their signature wood-fired pizzas are crafted with the best Italian flour, house-made dough and a rich, slow-cooked tomato sauce prepared fresh each day. Light, airy and full of flavour, these pizzas are served in true Napolitan style, allowing the high-quality ingredients to shine.
The aroma of freshly baked breads and Moroccan pitas cooked to order fills the air, pairing perfectly with chargrilled favourites and classic Mediterranean dishes made entirely in-house. Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise Reopens
Soul Boardwalk has just welcomed back one of its most loved dining destinations – Hurricane’s Grill & Bar has reopened with a fresh new look after closing earlier this year due to damage from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
A Gold Coast favourite since 2013, the restaurant has been reimagined by award-winning designers Luchetti Krelle, blending relaxed coastal elegance with open-air ocean views. A new private dining room and handcrafted finishes add to the elevated experience.
The updated menu features premium Australian steaks, a dry-aged steak program, a raw bar with fresh local seafood, Mediterranean-inspired starters, and Hurricane’s famous flame-grilled ribs and burgers. The drinks list now includes tropical cocktails, boozy slushies, dessert cocktails, and a wide range of mocktails, local beers, and wines.
With welcoming service from the dedicated team, Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise is once again the perfect spot for family dining, date nights, and special celebrations at Soul Boardwalk.
